Tsarskoe Selo takes part in the exhibition From the Imperial Wardrobe which runs at the Mir Castle Complex in Belarus from 29 November 2018 to 28 February 2019.
The exhibition is dedicated to the centenary of World War One’s end.
The ribbon-cutting ceremony on November 29 was led by Director Alexander Loiko of Mir, Director Olga V. Taratynova of Tsarskoe Selo (see above left, click to enlarge) and Deputy Olga Popko of the Belarusian House of Representatives.
Tsarskoe Selo lends thirty nine objects from our Men’s Clothing collection. Placed on 10 mannequins (see above right, click to enlarge), the artefacts are the uniforms of some Russian Imperial Army regiments, including Life Guards, which belonged to Emperor Nicholas II of Russia and his son Alexei.
