To years bygone my memory calls me... Russian Imperial Works of Art from Sergei and Tatiana Podstanitsky Collection |
September 3 to October 16, 2011 the Zubov Wing of the Catherine Palace houses an exhibition of Russian Imperial Works of Art from Sergei and Tatiana Podstanitsky Collection presenting 132 paintings, graphics and applied arts of the 18th-19th centuries. To years bygone my memory calls me..., the epigraph and first title of the exhibition taken from a poem of 1922 suggests the exhibit’s theme as well as the collectors’ agenda: to tell about the old days, people and events via the selected artworks representing the epoch of the Russian Empire |

TSARSKOYE SELO: THE FAR AND THE NEAR |
This joint exhibition project by Tsarskoye Selo, St Petersburg’s Central State Archive for Cinemographic, Photographic and Phonographic Documents and the photographer Yury Molodkovets, entitled Tsarskoye Selo: The Far and the Near and curated by Editor Anna Petrova of Kvartalny Nadziratel Magazine, will run for only one month - from July 19 to September 19, 2011 at the Admiralty pavilion (with free admission). |
